Get to Know Me
Miss Keli Velarde has been happily serving the families at Olson Elementary School for three years. She looks forward to continuing to support families and children this academic year as a marriage and family therapist trainee while she works on completing her masters in marriage and family therapy in the spring of 2025. It has been a privilege of hers to be part of the Marina community serving both students and families.
Kelli Supports Olson Elementary School with These Services
- Facilitate student groups and integrate into classrooms to support social and emotional learning, fostering a positive and inclusive school climate.
- Collaborates with school staff to provide tiered support through PBIS and MTSS frameworks, addressing student attendance, behavior, and emotional challenges.
- Works directly with students and families, offering individualized and group support to help meet behavioral, social, and emotional goals.
- Organizes and facilitates family meetings, parent/caregiver professional development, and Social Emotional Learning (SEL) programs.
- Maintains records, prepares reports, and coordinates with community resources to ensure students and families receive necessary support and services.
