Greetings Olson Families! Another successful week at Olson is in the books. Our Back-to-School Connections brought many families to campus to connect more personably with our teachers! Our grade levels dug into their curriculum, getting some tread on their pacing guides, including not just academic curriculum but also our social emotional learning curriculum, Second Step. Students in grades 1st-6th began or completed their iReady diagnostics in both reading and math, supporting teachers to create groupings and plan with intention to meet students' needs. Back-to-School Night was another important beginning-of-the year event. Families learned more about classroom logistics and procedures, and it was wonderful to see so many Olson Orca students in attendance. I encourage you to talk with your child(ren) about their iReady Diagnostic goals, anything that emerged during your Back-to-School Connections conferencing, and what learning tasks they engaged in throughout the week.
