An Amazing First Full Week of the 2026-2027 School Year!

Greetings Olson Families! Our first full week of school was extremely successful as classes engaged in classroom respect agreements and community circles, continued to practice routines and expectations, and engaged in important beginning of the year academic tasks to set the stage for an amazing year of learning. The Weekly Splash video below captures just some of the happenings across campus this past week. I encourage you to talk with your child(ren) about their classroom respect agreements, topics discussed in their classroom community circles, and what learning tasks they engaged in throughout the past week.

Back-to-School Connections Conferences will take place this week (8/17/26-8/21/26). Please see this MPUSD article for more information about this important opportunity for families to connect with Olson staff. Sign-ups were sent out last week by each classroom teacher. All students in grades TK-6 will be released at 12:50 PM throughout the week. Looking forward to seeing you all this week!

We will also be welcoming families and community to campus on Tuesday, August 18th from 5:00-6:30 PM for our annual Back-to-School Night event. This evening is a chance for us to share important information about schedules, routines, classroom community, instructional practices and curriculum, and more about the school year.

PTA General Association Meeting

Please join us on Tuesday at 4:30 PM in the cafeteria/MPR prior to our Back-to-School Night event for our first PTA Association Meeting of the school year. This will be a time to connect with other families, ask questions, and learn more about the amazing events hosted by our PTA throughout the school year.

Attendance Update
